The Health TEAM Lab provides UC Davis students, staff, and faculty a place to: learn about health literacy, receive standardized health metric testing/reporting, and communicate with a support group to help facilitate healthy behavior changes.
Promoting the availability of a free, healthy alternative to sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs), namely tap water, is a critical component of reducing consumption of unhealthy alternatives like drinks with added sugar.
Our project goal is to increase awareness of the impacts of weight stigma at UC Davis to improve student experience and support student success through both digital and in-person education.
Since 2016, Davis Period and #FreethePeriod, along with the Menstrual Equity Task Force, have been working to combat Period Poverty. We believe menstrual hygiene products are a basic necessity just like soap or toilet paper, and that no student should have to sacrifice education due to lack of access.
A collaborative and proactive approach by Chicanx Studies Faculty/Staff, Aggie Compass, and Taller Arte del Nuevo Amanecer, this project aims to support the retention and success of Chicanx/Latinx students by providing greater awareness and direct referrals to basic needs resources.
This project aims to destigmatize mental health and spread awareness of campuses resources by holding events and amplifying the efforts of the Resilience Through campaign.
The Community Healing Through Creative Art Expressions Groups project will promote emotional well-being through creative art expressions for currently or formerly undocumented students on campus and students from mixed immigration status families.
Formal training in racial trauma and trauma-informed care will be offered to Academic and Staff Assistance Program and Student Health and Counseling Services clinical staff.
Helmet Hair Don't Care is a campus-wide bike safety initiative that will provide bike safety training and free bike helmets to students, staff, and faculty.
