Aggie Mental Health Ambassadors

The Aggie Mental Health Ambassadors (AMHAs) are undergraduate and graduate students working with public health professionals to serve the UC Davis community to fill a long-standing gap in understanding about mental and emotional well-being.

AMHA’s participate in ongoing public mental health training including inclusivity, suicide prevention, evidence-based practices to support well-being, and accessing UC Davis campus resources.

AMHA's educate about campus mental health and well-being resources, encourage the community on how to care for themselves and others, and help to address the epidemic of loneliness and isolation by contributing to an inclusive campus community centered around well-being.

  • Upcoming Events
  • Celebrate Gratitude Month with the Aggie Mental Health Ambassadors (AMHA) by writing letters of gratitude! Gratitude is strongly linked to well-being. Practicing gratitude helps us feel more positive, cope with challenges, and strengthen relationships. It also helps reduce loneliness by reminding us that we belong and encouraging us to express appreciation to others.

Visit an AMHA table to pick up a blank card to write a gratitude letter to someone who has made a positive impact on your life.

Last year, 98% of participants found writing letters of gratitude enhanced their well-being and quality of life. After finishing their gratitude letters, 99% reported feeling “very happy” or “happy.”

Check back often for updates to see which events Ambassadors will be present for.
