A campus-wide initiative making it easier for the UC Davis community to access nourishing foods on campus.
The guidelines encourage campus food service operators to alter current recipes, develop new recipes that meet the guidelines, and source new foods. Together we can create a campus environment with more accessible, nourishing options!
The Nourish UC Davis guidelines were developed by a team of UC Davis nutrition and dining professionals from Student Health and Counseling Services, Housing and Dining Services, Occupational Health, ASUCD Dining Services and UC Davis Health. The 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and feedback collected in focus groups with UC Davis students and staff informed the chosen criteria. The guidelines were recently updated in March 2022 to reflect current nutrition research and recommendations and student feedback.
