Building Virtual Attendance

A project to acquire the latest technology and equipment for Healthy UC Davis to begin live-streaming their events.

Introduction:

In 2019, Healthy UC Davis invested in Building Integration of Virtual Capabilities to increase virtual attendance of programs developed by partners by acquiring webinar technology and equipment.

The goal of this project is to enhance reach and accessibility of health and well-being programs that further Healthy UC Davis' goal of "making UC Davis the healthiest community in the nation." Programs have included one-time presentations on nutrition or the smoke and tobacco free policy at UC Davis.

Outcomes:

Enhance the virtual reach and accessibility of health and well-being programs offered at UC Davis. Add on the Zoom webinar feature to create webinars and acquire audio and visual equipment to live-stream or record events.

Opportunities for Involvement:

Have an informational or interactive health and well-being event you would like to have recorded or live-streamed? For consideration of your event or project, please contact the project lead. You may view past recordings on our Healthy UC Davis channel at video.ucdavis.edu.

Recent Milestones:

The undergraduate student videographer has begun to interview program leads and gather footage to produce 15 promotional videos to highlight Healthy UC Davis’ many offerings. Specialized recording equipment was purchased to enhance video and audio capture quality. These promotional videos should be completed by the end of Spring Quarter. Several previously recorded health and well-being presentations from campus partners were edited and captioned, and made available to view on the publicly accessible Healthy UC Davis channel on the Aggie Video platform.
